Pythagoras, if the triangle

Who does not know the Pythagorean theorem? But have you ever wondered who it was.

Pythagoras was born in Greece, on the island of Samos. Some believe he was a pupil of Thales, but is unlikely because the age difference. His interest in mathematics, astronomy and philosophy led him to Egypt and Babylon to learn from them.

On his return to Greece founded the society of the Pythagoreans it was a school for studies in philosophy, mathematics and natural sciences.

The Pythagoreans were a secret order led by Pythagoras in which the lessons were being made orally and knowledge were common.

It is said that Pythagoras gave two kinds of lessons, one for students only and one for the other citizens, including women.

Pythagoras had a tragic death, was caught in a revolt against the Pythagoreans and was assassinated.
